We are happy to announce the release of Cortex 4.0, now compatible with Elasticsearch 8. This release upgrades Cortex to a more modern foundation while tackling the end-of-life of Elasticsearch 7.

Release of Cortex 4.0: ready for Elasticsearch 8

What changes with Cortex 4.0
To ensure predictable support, Cortex 4.0 exclusively supports Elasticsearch 8. You will need to move to Elasticsearch 8 to use the latest version of Cortex.
Why we are doing this
- Stay secure & supported. This update ensures Cortex runs on a supported, secured version of Elasticsearch.
- Keep momentum. With Elasticsearch 7 not being maintained anymore, this upgrade prevents you from being stuck on an aging stack.
Looking ahead
We are currently working on the support of Elasticsearch 9 for the future versions of Cortex. We’ll share more news as soon as the timelines are clear.
